On May 21, 2020, 14:00, Members of the European Business Association met online Carl Hartzel, the Ambassador of the European Union to Georgia and exchanged views concerning the coronavirus epidemic effect on European Businesses in Georgia.
The EU Ambassador to Georgia briefed the business representatives on the future plans and spoke regarding priority directions.
Directors of the member European and Georgian companies of the European Business Association from different sectors, including Giorgi Gogoladze - Deutsche Basalt Faser GmbH, Torsten Weller - Hilton Batumi, Valeri Chekheria - Adjara Group, Alex Matua - ProCredit Bank, Archil Bakuradze - MFO CRYSTAL , Baris Ataeli - Bureau Veritas Georgia, Maia Mikava - Association for Agriculture Development, Irina Sak - Publicis Groupe Georgia, Paata Lomadze - GPI Holding, Irma Daushvili - DIO LTD , Roman Bokeria - Georgian Airways.
Besides exchanging views concerning the coronavirus epidemic effect the directors of EBA member companies discussed the following issues: Access to Finance and SMEs, Public Procurement and Tenders, Tourism and Vocational Training, European Standards, Certification and Safety, Fair Competition, Trade with EU, Regional Development,
Representatives of European Embassies, International Financial Institutions, Sectoral Associations and invited guests also attended the event.
