On July 4th, 2019 UN Women, European Business Association in Georgia and Women for Tomorrow jointly introduced the Women’s Empowerment Principles (hashtag#WEPs) to business companies in Georgia.
“We are proud to be part of this global initiative with the assistance of the WEPs and the guidelines we have, we started talking about issues such as the prevention of sexual harassment. It turned out that everybody in the workplace was interested in the work”, said Irma Daushvili, CEO of Dio, one of the current WEPs signee companies in Georgia.
The event is implemented as part of the project “A Joint Action for Women’s Economic Empowerment in Georgia” funded by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
