The European Business Association (EBA) believes that serving the business community requires adopting internationally recognized standards and best practices. That is why we are proud to share that EBA’s Managing Director has successfully graduated from the Institute for Organization Management (IOM), the flagship executive education program of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
Founded in 1921, the Institute is one of the world’s longest-running and most respected professional development programs for executives of chambers of commerce and business associations. For more than a century, it has educated tens of thousands of leaders responsible for representing businesses, strengthening membership organizations and advancing economic growth across the United States.
The Institute was established in response to a simple but powerful idea: business organizations are most effective when they are led by highly qualified professionals. Today, it continues this mission by bringing together chamber executives, association leaders, university faculty, and industry experts to exchange knowledge, challenge ideas, and develop practical solutions to the evolving needs of the private sector.
Unlike traditional academic programs, the Institute focuses on the day-to-day realities of leading influential business organizations. Over four years, participants study strategic planning, governance, advocacy, public affairs, membership development, financial sustainability, communications, leadership, organizational excellence, and innovation. The program combines classroom learning with peer-to-peer collaboration, allowing participants to learn from successful organizations across the United States.
The Institute has become the professional benchmark for chamber and association executives in the United States because it equips leaders with practical tools to build stronger organizations, deliver greater value to members, and become trusted partners for business and government alike. Many of America’s most successful chambers of commerce and industry associations are led by graduates of this program.
For EBA, this achievement is not simply a personal milestone, it is an investment in the future of the Association and the companies we represent.
The knowledge, international network and practical experience gained through the Institute will support EBA in further strengthening its strategic planning, member services, advocacy, governance, and organizational development. These insights will be translated into new initiatives and improved services that help our members grow, connect and successfully navigate an increasingly complex business environment.
As Georgia continues its path toward deeper economic integration with Europe and stronger international partnerships, business associations have an increasingly important role in creating dialogue between the private sector, government and international partners.
EBA remains committed to investing in professional excellence, embracing global best practices, and ensuring that our members are represented by an organization managed according to the highest international standards.
Because when an association grows stronger, every member benefits.
