The event was attended by the USAID Mission Director Peter Wiebler, the EU Delegation to Georgia, Team Leader Dominik Papenheim, General Director of Skills Agency Tamar Kitiashvili, as well as EBA members from different business sectors including banking, insurance, advertising, audit, hospitality and etc.
Conference highlighted the importance of economic reforms in general and the involvement of young people in advocacy and policy making process. Participants discussed the opportunities of new professions for young people, emerging from ongoing process of economic reforms. For example: an insolvency practitioner, a labor inspector, a procurement specialist, and etc.
At the end of the conference a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the companies and the EBA within which organizations will offer internship opportunities to the successful graduates of the project and support youth employment.
The event is organized by the EBA within the framework of the project βPromoting European Business and Economic Interests in Georgiaβ supported by the European Union.
The Economic Policy and Reforms Boot Camp is implemented by EBA and is supported by the USAID Economic Governance Program.
