The Tax Committee of the EBA serves as a platform for dialogue between the private sector and public authorities on tax-related matters. The mission of the Tax Committee is to contribute to the development and diversification of the tax sector. It organizes meetings with state institutions, engages in discussions on legislative developments, advocates for fair and transparent tax policies, and holds informational sessions for EBA members to support compliance and awareness.

 

Ketevan Ghambashidze – Co-Chair of the EBA Tax Committee  

Ketevan is a TAX Director in Grant Thornton LLC. She has earned her MBA from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University and is currently pursuing her PhD at the Faculty of Economics and Business. She is studying with the UK’s Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT) and maintains membership in the Georgian Federation of Professional Accountants and Auditors. As a Certified Auditor, she is registered with the Service for Accounting, Reporting and Auditing Supervision.

With over two decades of professional experience, Ketevan specializes in tax advisory, international taxation, transfer pricing, audit, financial management and control. Her expertise encompasses Georgian tax law, International Standards on Auditing (ISA), international taxation principles, and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). She has built substantial experience across both public and private sectors through her involvement in domestic and international projects.

Currently serving as Director and trainer at Grant Thornton Academy, Ketevan has published number of articles addressing tax legislation matters.

 

Lasha Adamashvili – Co-Chair of the EBA Tax Committee  

Lasha Adamashvili is Head of Tax & Advisory at Andersen Georgia, bringing over a decade of experience in tax advisory, planning, and dispute resolution. Prior to joining Andersen Georgia, Lasha spent eight years at the Revenue Service of Georgia, gaining deep expertise in tax administration and practice. In his last role at the Revenue Service, he led the Litigation Division, overseeing and managing hundreds of tax litigation cases and representing the Georgian state authorities in complex tax disputes before the courts.

Lasha’s work covers tax consulting, strategic tax planning, and litigation, with a strong record of advising both local and international clients on Georgian and international tax matters. He is recognized in the market for his expertise in tax controversy and dispute resolution and has been nominated by International Tax Review (ITR) as a Notable Practitioner in the field of tax controversy in Georgia.

He holds an LL.M. in Taxation and is currently pursuing an MBA at the University of San Francisco. He also holds a Master’s degree in Business Law from Free University of Tbilisi. Lasha is a member of the Georgian Bar Association and is currently pursuing the Advanced Diploma in International Taxation (ADIT).
