The main Objective of the Trade Facilitation Committee is to:
provide platform that enables members to raise and discuss any issues related to international trade; export/ import;
Support companies exporting their goods through capacity building, advocacy, and promotion;
Have timely access to the information related to the upcoming regulatory changes and standards.
Ilona Kardava – The head of EBA Trade Facilitation Committee
Ilona Kardava is a Quality Manager at Freight Forwarding Company GIANTI LOGISTICS, since 2010.
Ilona’s competence includes:
- Establishing, implementing and monitoring QMS;
- Issuing documented procedures in accordance with ISO 9001:2008 and describe all the processes related to QMS better functioning (process approach documentations);
- Defining quality objectives and preparing working plans together with management;
- Conducting internal audits;
- Consulting with employees about ISO 9001:2008, train new employees to define the importance of the standard and quality;
- Acting as a liaison with external parties such as customers or auditors on matters relating to the QMS.
As for her Skills & Abilities, she has:
- strong personal skills, ability to motivate staff ability to make staff to follow the rules;
- Very good writing skills as well as communication skills;
- Proven ability to multi-task and handle a high volume of work with extreme accuracy and adjust to changing priorities;
- Ability to motivate staff, sending clear messages.
