Transport and Logistics stand at the very core of the European Business Association’s mission, driving regional integration, economic growth and global connectivity. Highlighting female executive leadership in this historically male-dominated sector is paramount to inspiring the next generation of industry leaders.
In this executive spotlight, we sit down with Elena Inasaridze, Director at LV Logistics Georgia since establishing its presence in 2019 and Head of the EBA Transport and Logistics Committee. Elena reflects on her 19-year journey, the strategic importance of Georgia as a regional hub and the transformative power of leadership in supply chain management.
Elena, you’ve built an impressive 19-year career. Looking back, what has been the defining theme of your professional journey?
“My career has been defined by continuous transformation and a commitment to excellence.
I started my professional path in administrative and operational roles and gradually advanced through quality management, procurement, project logistics, and executive leadership. Every stage taught me valuable lessons about people, processes, and business growth.
What has remained constant throughout these 19 years is my passion for solving complex challenges and creating sustainable solutions. Logistics is often described as moving goods from one point to another, but in reality, it is about enabling businesses, supporting economies, and connecting people.”
You currently lead a logistics company and chair the Transport and Logistics Committee of the EBA. How do these two roles complement each other?
“Both roles provide different but highly complementary perspectives.
As Managing Director, I focus on business performance, customer needs, team leadership, and operational excellence. As Chair of the Transport and Logistics Committee, I look at industry-wide opportunities and challenges affecting the sector as a whole.
This dual perspective allows me to understand both the practical realities businesses face and the strategic priorities needed to strengthen Georgia’s logistics ecosystem.
I believe industry progress happens when companies collaborate rather than operate in isolation.”
What leadership qualities are most important in logistics today?
“The logistics sector needs leaders who can combine strategic vision with operational discipline.
Today’s leaders must be adaptable, resilient, commercially minded, and capable of making decisions in uncertain environments.
However, if I had to choose one quality, it would be the ability to inspire and develop people. Technology, infrastructure, and processes are important, but great organizations are ultimately built by talented teams who share a common purpose.”
What has been the biggest lesson learned during your career?
“The biggest lesson is that relationships are as important as expertise.
Throughout my career, I have worked with customers, suppliers, government stakeholders, international partners, and diverse teams.
Business challenges can almost always be solved more effectively when trust exists between stakeholders. Technical competence opens doors, but credibility and integrity build long-term success.”
What makes Georgia attractive as a logistics and transportation hub?
“Georgia has a unique geographical advantage.
We are positioned at the crossroads between Europe and Asia, creating significant opportunities for regional connectivity and international trade.
The country’s infrastructure development, growing trade corridors, and strong international partnerships create a foundation for future growth.
Our challenge and opportunity are to continue improving efficiency, transparency, and innovation so that Georgia becomes not only a transit country but a strategic logistics hub for the region.”
Many young professionals are entering the logistics sector. What advice would you give them?
“First, never stop learning. Logistics is one of the most dynamic industries in the world. Success requires continuous development, curiosity, and adaptability.
Second, focus on understanding the broader business environment. The best logistics professionals are not only experts in transportation but also understand finance, sales, procurement, customer experience, and technology.
Finally, invest in your professional reputation. People remember professionalism, reliability, and integrity.”
What achievement are you most proud of?
“Rather than a single achievement, I am most proud of the impact I have created through the teams and companies I have worked with.
Seeing people grow into leadership roles, helping organizations overcome challenges, and contributing to the development of the logistics sector gives me the greatest professional satisfaction.
Leadership is not measured only by personal success but by the success of the people and businesses you help develop.”
What trends will shape the future of logistics?
“Several trends will influence the future significantly: artificial Intelligence and automation, data-driven decision-making, supply chain resilience, sustainability initiatives, increased visibility across supply chains. Organizations that successfully combine technology with strong leadership and customer-centric thinking will be best positioned for long-term success.”
If you were advising a CEO today, what would be your key message regarding supply chains?
“My message would be simple: treat your supply chain as a strategic asset.
The European Business Association extends its gratitude to Elena Inasaridze for her vision, her commitment to elevating Georgia’s role in global supply chains and her ongoing leadership within the EBA.
