Meeting with the EU Ambassador and US Ambassador

The members of the EBA and AmCham met H.E. Pawel Herczynski, the Ambassador of the EU to Georgia and H.E. Robin Dunnigan, the Ambassador of the US to Georgi. 
 
Irakli Baidashvili, President of the American Chamber of Commerce, opened the event and delivered a welcome speech, followed by the panel discussion on Georgia’s EU candidate country status, focusing on business and economic opportunities. The panel featured Pawel Herczynski, the Ambassador of the European Union to Georgia and Robin Dunnigan, the Ambassador of the United States of America to Georgia. George Welton, Executive Director of the American Chamber of Commerce, moderated the discussion.
 
The members of the EBA and AmCham, diplomatic corps and representatives of the international financial institutions attended the event. Guests were able to pose questions and contribute to the dialogue, fostering an enriching exchange of ideas and viewpoints.
 
The ambassadors dedicated time to respond to a diverse range of questions from attendees, offering meaningful information and clarifications on key topics relevant to the private sector. The discussions provided valuable insights into both the obligations and the opportunities that lie ahead for Georgian businesses within the context of EU integration. By highlighting the importance of the business community’s involvement, the idea was reinforced that collaborative efforts between the public and private sectors are essential for driving sustainable economic growth and facilitating smooth integration into the European Union. The event highlighted the collective commitment of the EBA and AmCham, supporting Georgia’s pro-Western trajectory and facilitating a conducive environment for business growth and development in the region.
 
John Braeckeveldt, President of the European Business Association, delivered concluding remarks and summarized the discussion points at the end of the event.
